Just to name a few reasons. But money is a powerful motivator. It is for everyone.

THE CARPENTER CONFESSIONS REVIEW:

I’ve been on a thriller kick lately because spooky season. I had seen He Started It on Instagram this winter/spring, but never picked it up. I actually wasn’t planning on reading this book until I saw it in the suggested section of my library's catalog. I looked up the synopsis on Goodreads and I knew I had to give it a try. I’m so glad I did because it ended up being a great book, full of suspense, twists and turns, and honestly irritation. This book was great and I wonder why it didn’t get more hype.

If you have siblings, you know they can get pretty irritating, but you love them all the same. Taking a two week road trip with my siblings, you know there will be some fights along the way, what siblings wouldn’t. The thing about this book is the siblings don’t get along and there are secrets that lead to trouble. Those secrets you won’t see coming and the ones you think you may know, you don’t. This book did a great job at hiding all the secrets, you are left wondering where this book is headed. The story goes between past and present of the same road trip and I really enjoyed both stories. They blended well with each other, you saw what happened then and now. The ending will have you questioning the whole book and my both dropped when it all came together.

I didn’t give it a five star simply because I didn’t love it. It was a little slow throughout the book even though I liked the story. I wish I knew the characters in more depths, I felt I really didn’t get to know any of them. It didn’t feel personal, more in the moment stories. Also, the back story lacked some details for the ending. All in all it was a good book, it just could have used some minor details that would have made it better, but I still really enjoyed it.

WHO I’D RECOMMEND TO:

This book is a great book for anyone, I think even if you don’t like thrillers, it still would be a good one to try because I felt it hit a lot of what a thriller is like withiut it being too intense People who like a slow burn thriller would really enjoy this.
