Thanksgiving Post

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone gets to spend time with friends and family this year, even if it wasn’t in person, but Zoom/FaceTime! I also hope everyone gets to eat some really good food, I know I am!

I wanted to make a post today to say how important this day is, but also to remind us, we shouldn’t need a day to remember what we are thankful for. I feel like we tend to take for granted the blessings in our life because we become expectant of the things we have. Whether that is having a great family and friends, a roof over your head, the privilege of clean water and something simple such as being able to read the books you want. I know I can easily forget all the things I’m grateful for and I need to remember and constantly be thankful for everything I have, the big and the small.

Here are a few things I am grateful for:

  • My wonderful family who loves me and are super supportive

  • My health at the moment

  • Being able to leave in a country that allows me to be free

  • A God who loves me unconditionally and forgives all my sins

  • Clean Water

  • All the books, especially the Bible

  • The friendships I’ve made throughout bookstagram

  • The essential workers who are working in this unpredictable time, especially healthcare workers

  • Hallmark Christmas movies

  • Christmas Music

  • The mountain of fuzzy socks in my closet

  • This one may be silly, but Target!

These are just a few of the ones I am grateful for at the moment and there are so much more, but the list would end up being a book. I hope everyone gets to enjoy their Thanksgiving. What are you thankful for?
